Let’s face it, getting older sucks. I think that is why I LOVE this new series, The Other F Word – the F word in the title stands for the forties and fifties. This series tackles all the issues that face us during our midlife
crisis stage of life… from ageism to sexism, from reentering the workforce to sex and dating in your 40’s. But the series is really about friendship and rediscovering yourself after the kids are gone.

The cast is great, too! Season One’s cast of The Other F Word features: Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy), Michael Boatman (The Good Wife), Reiko Aylesworth (24), Judy Gold (Jim Gaffigan Show) and Ben Bailey (Cash Cab). You probably have each of these characters within your circle of friends!

Honestly, one of my favorite scenes in the entire series revolves around “Bring Your Parent to Work Day.” It’s hysterical watching the 20-somethings try to explain their jobs in social media to their Gen-Xer parents! As a blogger, I feel the same way sometimes!
I had the privilege of sharing an Uber with the show’s creator, award-winning filmmaker Caytha Jentis, last spring. I love her gift for writing and how this show feels like you’re sharing a bottle of wine and chatting with your friends, not watching it on a screen. She decided to make this show a reality because so many people in the industry told her that our demographic was tough. And now she’s proving everyone wrong!
Once you become a huge fan…because let’s face it, you will…join the conversation with your fellow F-word fans on Facebook! The entire theme behind rediscovering yourself at this stage is that “Fun Never Gets Old!” You can also follow the series on Instagram and use #TOFWseries or #FunNeverGetsOld when you post pictures of you and your friends watching the show!
Don’t forget, you can watch it for FREE right now on Amazon.
